Psychiatrist Robert Hyde anticipates a weekend of rest and romance with his perky young wife at his country house – but their peace is soon shattered by the frantic arrivals of his caustic ex-wife, their disenchanted daughter who is fleeing college with her boyfriend, a hysterical patient, and her gun-toting husband. Hilarious chaos and comic confusion ensue. As Dr. Hyde tries without success to control the crisis, we learn who truly has insight into humans, nature, and human nature.
